LEE Dai Won
2005.5.18~6.5
Lee has stuck with representational art focusing on subjects of nature such as mountains, fields, and lakes since the 1950’s and 60’s when abstract art was all the rage in Korea. Using his familiar topic of rural landscapes including fruit trees, fields, and mountains, Lee portrayed nature with dots and lines thus letting the view vividly feel the air and the light in the paintings. His rhythmic brushstrokes create art full of life.
